Fit the lid according to the instructions below.
Push the right-hand pin into the holder and turn
the lid in the direction of the arrow so that the left-
hand pin engages.
Close the lid.
Coffee brewing
Follow the instructions below to brew aromatic coffee.
Use freshly ground coffee for best results.
Try different proportions of coffee and water until you discover your favourite taste.
Try different fine to coarse grindings, this also influences the aroma of the coffee.
Fill the reservoir with the required amount of fresh water.
Clean and descale the appliance regularly. Dirt and/or scale reduces the aroma.
The hot plate can be used to keep the coffee warm, but we recommend pouring the coffee into a
thermos flask and switching off the appliance.
Preparation
When the appliance is in use the pot (7) should be placed under the filter compartment(10) with the
lid correctly fitted. The lid on the pot presses up the drip stopper (9) so that the coffee can run
through the filter down into the pot.
The drip stopper (9) prevents coffee running from the filter when the pot (7) is removed. Do not
remove the pot (7) for more than 30 seconds when brewing, otherwise the filter will flood over.
When the brewing is finished the cup symbol (20) on the top left-hand side will start flashing in the
display.
Brewing coffee with coffee beans
Press any button to activate the display light. The light goes off after 60 seconds if none of the
buttons are pressed.
Fill the water reservoir with water.
Fill with coffee.
Put a coffee filter in the filter holder.
Set the required number of cups.
Set the required strength.
Set the fine to coarse grinding.
Press the button
(19) to activate the grinder.
The status lamp (18) goes on and the freshly ground coffee is transferred to the filter compartment (10)
through the chute, after which the brewing starts.
To stop the brewing
Press the button
(19) to stop the brewing and switch off the appliance. The status lamp (18)
goes off the appliance switches off.
NOTE:
The appliance switches off automatically after 40 minutes.
