SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions carefully before use and save them for future reference.

The appliance is only intended for household use.
Always follow these basic safety instructions when using electrical appliances.

Do not immerse the power cord, plug or motor unit in water or any other liquid – risk of electric
shock.
Close supervision is required when the appliance is used by or near children.
Switch off the appliance and unplug the power cord when the appliance is not in use, and before
replacing parts or cleaning. Do not pull the power cord to unplug the plug.
Avoid contact with moving parts.
Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or not working properly, or if the power cord or plug are
damaged. Take the appliance to an authorised service centre to be checked, repaired or adjusted.
Do not use accessories other than those recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer. The
use of other accessories can result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of a table or worktop, or to come into contact
with hot surfaces.
Always keep your hands and utensils away from moving blades and slicers to avoid the risk of
serious personal injury and/or material damage. A rubber scraper can be used, but only when the
appliance is not running.
The knife blades are very sharp. Handle them with care.
Be careful when handling slicers, to avoid personal injury.
Never place knives or slicers on the motor unit without first fitting the processing bowl – risk of
personal injury Wait until all moving parts have completely stopped before removing the lid.
Check that the lid is properly fitted before starting the appliance.
Never press food down with your hands – always use the feeder.
Do not use the appliance in explosive environments, such as in the vicinity of flammable liquids,
gases or dust.
The appliance is only intended for household use and is not suitable for commercial use. Never use
the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose.
Never attempt to bypass the safety interlock on the lid.
Never leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
Moving parts – keep your fingers away from the outlet opening.
Casing
Do not remove the casing – risk of electric shock. The appliance does not contain any parts that can be
repaired by the user.
Repairs must only carried out by an authorised service centre.
