Measurement of body fat
To measure the proportion of body fat provides a picture of your health. To maintain healthy levels of
body fat can help reduce the risk of developing serious health related problems. High blood pressure,
high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes and cancer are serious conditions and diseases that you would
rather avoid. The proportion of body fat is also an important parameter in terms of athletic performance.
Previously, you had to seek medical expertise to get information on the proportion of fat in the body. Now
you can easily get the information from a set of bathroom scales with body fat measurement. Just step on
the scales and read the values yourself.

2.
Measure your weight, percentage of body fat and water at the same time each day.
3.
Weigh yourself without clothes to get the most accurate values as possible. Clothes can affect the
measurement of the percentage of body fat and water.
4.
Weigh yourself without socks and with clean feet for the most accurate values as possible.
Fluid level
The scale measures weight, the body's electrical impedance and add these values to the specified
personal data (age, height, gender). The scales calculate the body fat percentage using these values. It is
best to weigh yourself in the evening. Women normally have greater variations in water volume than men
and must compare values for a longer time in order to get an accurate average. A correct average is
important to have as a reference in order to measure progress in e.g. a health programme. The water
content varies during the day and affects the impedance calculation
.
If a person is dehydrated this affects
the measurement of the percentage of body fat.
Information for accurate weighing
The appliance must always be used in the same way and in the same place for exact
measurements. The measurement values may vary between different scales. The change in body
weight that the appliance shows is however accurate.
Weigh yourself on an empty stomach and at the same time each day (preferably in the morning or
before going to bed), for precise measurements.
Place the scales on a hard, flat surface for exact measurement values.
The scales rounded up or down to the nearest 0.22 lbs (100 g) or 0.11 lbs (50 g), so if you weigh
yourself twice and get two different values your weight lies between the two values.
Important!
When measuring the percentage of body fat, water and muscle, it is important to stand on the
scales with bare feet on the metal plates on both sides of the scales.
Wipe your feet with a clean, damp towel.
Always place the unit on a flat surface and in the same position for exact values.
Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, high temperatures or moisture.
Do not place any objects on the scales for longer periods as this will discharge the batteries.
Wipe off the glass plate and the metal plates with a slightly damp cloth.
