Installation
This device is intended to be a fixed heating device for indoor use.
First, read the Ministry of the Interior’s guidelines in this manual regarding the installation
location of the device, and remember to adhere to them. When installing and performing
maintenance on this device, the oil heating equipment decree is followed, so this device may
only be installed by authorised installation and maintenance companies.
1.2.
Positioning
There has to be at least 500 mm of free space on each side of the device. There has to be at
least 1000 mm of free space in front of the oil burner and on top of the heater. The length of
free space in front of the sweeping and cleaning hatches has to be equal to at least the depth of
the heater. The above-mentioned distances can be smaller if, for example, the wall the device
is positioned against is an opening wall.
If the heater is positioned in a warehouse or a factory, it has to be surrounded by a safety rail
made of steel pipe or other suitable material, with the pipe diameter being at least 50 mm, and
the thickness of the wall at least 2 mm. The safety rail has to be positioned at a distance of
1000 mm from the heater. The heater must be positioned on a fireproof base which extends to
at least 500 mm from the device.
If the heater is positioned in the boiler room of a building, the boiler room must meet the
requirements set for the boiler room of a furnace of such capacity.
The structure of air ducts must correspond to fire safety regulations of the ventilation system.
Both the cold and warm air ducts must be fitted with a fire damper on the boiler room’s walls.
However, a fire damper is not required for the cold air duct if the air comes from the outside.
If the heater has been positioned in a heater unit, it can be positioned inside or outside the
building as per the conditions stated in the approval.
The flue must be isolated
with 100 mm of fire-
resistant wool around the
roof
and
wall
pass-
throughs.
