Take note of the change in the vehicle dimensions when
the basic carrier bars are mounted.
For safety reasons and in order to save fuel, the basic
carrier bars should be removed from the vehicle when
not in use.
Do not enter an automatic car wash when the basic
carrier bars are fitted to the vehicle.

WARNING
Check all of the screws on the basic carrier bars are
tight and retighten, as required, every time you fit
the basic carrier bars, before each journey and also
during a long journey. Repeat these checks at
regular intervals, regardless of road surface
conditions and at the latest after
1,552.5 miles (2,500 km) of continuous use.
Do not apply lubricants to the screws of the basic
carrier bars. The screws could then loosen and the
basic carrier bars could become detached from
your vehicle together with the load and cause injury
to you and others and/or damage to property,
including to your own vehicle.
