Anti-theft Protection
If the voltage supply to the radio unit is disconnected, the word “CODE” will
appear on the radio’s display after the radio is switched on. In this mode, the
radio is rendered inoperable. Radio function can only be restored by entering a
five digit code retrieved from a radio code card (supplied with the vehicle)
using the radio preset buttons.
Recoding Sequence
Switch radio on. The display indicates the word “CODE”. Press the station
preset button corresponding to the first digit in the radio code (read from the
radio code card). The first number and “____“ are indicated on the display.
Continue entering the other four digits of the code number using the station
preset buttons. After entering all five digits of the code, compare the number
on the display with the actual code read from the card. If any digits were
entered incorrectly, reenter the complete code again.
Confirm entry of the correct code by pressing the
or
button. If an
incorrect code is entered and confirmed, then the display will once again
indicate “CODE”. The code must be entered again. After attempting to enter an
incorrect code three times, the display will indicate “WAIT” and further entry
of codes is blocked for 10 minutes. If a further attempt of entering three
incorrect codes is made, additional attempts to recode the radio are blocked for
approx. 60 minutes.
Note:
The radio must be left on during the “WAIT” period.
