2. Remove the fill cap and dipstick and observe the fluid level.
•
The proper fluid level with the engine at normal operating temperature should be
within the warm range.
•
The proper fluid level with the engine cold should be within the cold range.

1. Remove the fill cap and dipstick and observe the fluid level.
2. Add the specified fluid to bring the fluid level up to the proper level.

3. Install the fill cap and dipstick.
Changing
Power‑assisted steering fluid does not require changing unless it becomes contaminated
with water or debris. Contact your authorized Mercury MerCruiser dealer.
Engine Coolant
Checking
1. With the engine at normal operating temperature, check the coolant level in the coolant
recovery bottle.
