Version Pyramix 6.2
NEW FEATURES
New AAF Module
:
For better reliability and handling (see User Manual for all details)
Automation additions
(MT3460):
New Filter Automation Tracks auto-select options:
Select Last Used: Auto-select the previous automation tracks selected.
Select Last Changed: Auto-select the last automation track written (the tracks having the last
same date / time is the automation tracks version dialog)
Select Displayed: Auto-select the tracks displayed in the timeline.
The last select option chosen is reloaded the next time the dialog popup.
New Mixer Tracks indicator
:
When connected to a “Direct Monitoring” Strip or a Strip set to “Return From Bus”.
A red [
D
] indicator was added on the Top/Left corner of the Track headers so that the user is aware that
those Strips are not Delay compensated (by design).
Since a user might want to be able to playback clips recorded on those tracks (which is why they exist),
the indicator warns the user that the mode is for monitoring/reviewing the record. When the time will
come to make a final mix-down (or other final process), the user will have to convert Direct Monitoring
Strips to Normal Strips and reset the Return From Bus flag to Input to have a proper delay compensation
on such tracks.
New Shared Mixing Console Mode
(MT3160)
This new mode allows the user to switch between projects without changing the mixing console.
With such mode activated the user can
quickly go to any other project to copy/paste clips
and/or import
an OMF/AAF/EDL/etc… Or
quickly
review/compare anything without disconnecting and reconnecting the
mixer, the remote controllers and automation.
New menu
item
in the Project Menu called
“Share Mixing Console”
New Icon available in the main Toolbar on the left of the Cursor TimeCode (little Mixer Icon).
When selecting
Menu “Share Mixing Console”
or enabling the Icon, the currently Active Project shares
its Mixing Console. To reflect this state the Toolbar Icon turns to Green, meaning that the user is in
Shared Mixer Mode and that the current active Project
is the one sharing its Mixing Console.
When switching, loading or creating another Project, the project Mixing Console is hidden and the
Shared Mixing Console is used instead. The switching is instantaneous. To reflect this
state the Icon on
the Toolbar will turn to Red, meaning that
we are in Shared Mixer Mode but that
the
currently active
Project is NOT the owner of the Mixing Console.
To exit the Shared Mixing Console Mode the active Project has to be the one sharing its Console (Green
Icon) and simply select the Menu or Click the Icon.
Side effect and limitations when in Shared Mixer Mode and active project is not the owner of the Mixer
(Red Icon):
When saving a project using a
shared
mixer that is not its own one,
the saved
Mixer
will be the
shared one (it will be replaced in the saved file). A message is displayed to notify the user and make
sure he’s fine with this.
