Step 1.
Remove the locking pin and retaining clip from the downrod.
Step 2.
Loosen the two locking bolts on the top of the motor assembly.
Step 3.
Carefully slide the canopy, canopy cover, and coupling cover onto the downrod.
Step 4.
Feed the wires of the fan motor assembly through the downrod.
Step 5.
Install the downrod onto the top of the motor assembly, aligning their holes and
replacing the pin and the clip.
Step 6.
Retighten the previously loosened bolts.
Step 7.
Place the downrod’s top mount onto the mounting bracket. Rotate the entire assembly
until the tab has dropped into its slot and sits firmly. The entire motor assembly should
no longer rotate if seated properly.
Failure to reattach the locking pin and/or properly seat the downrod can cause the fan to fall
from the ceiling during operation.
DO NOT
use the fan before ensuring it is properly secured and the motor cannot rotate.
