Sun protection function
Sun protection function
Only on blind time switch with sensor
connection, when used together with
sun/twilight sensor 580691.
You can use the sun protection function
of the blind time switch after attaching
the sun/twilight sensor to the window
pane. Attach the sensor at the position
on the window pane to which the blind
should be lowered if the brightness
value is exceeded. Then set the
required brightness value (see „Setting
the sun protection and twilight
functions“, p. 50).
Before the sun protection function can
be activated, the blind must have
previously been raised, either by
pressing and holding the corresponding
button or by a switching command. Any
manual operation deactivates the sun
protection function, as the blind control
then assumes that you have set an
individual, manual blind position to suit
your needs. To reactivate the sun
protection function, raise the blind by
pressing and holding the button.
When the set brightness value is
exceeded, the sun symbol in the
display starts to flash. The blind is then
lowered when the brightness value has
been constantly exceeded for approx.
2 min. This delay prevents the blind
from being lowered merely by
temporary variations in brightness
(e. g. caused by shadows or clouds).

sensor on the window, it stops

goes up a little way

and then down

, so that the sensor is just
uncovered and is not hidden.
If the set brightness value is not
reached for at least 15 minutes, the
blind is moved back up again.
