Never use pressure sources other than origi-
nal MESTO pumps or MESTO compressed
air filling valves.
Doing so may cause the pump, the screw
cap or the valve to be hurled off causing inju-
ry and the sprayer could also explode.
Avoid naked flames when spraying combus
-
tible liquids.
Fire and explosion hazard!
Have damaged and/or inoperable parts re-
placed immediately by our technical service
team or one of our authorised dealers.
Due to the risk of contamination:
- Wear suitable protective clothing when
spraying harmful substances.
- Do not spray into the wind.
- Do not spray substances at other persons,
animals or in open waters.
- Never aim hose ends at other persons or
yourself.
- Do not blow through any blocked nozzles or
valves in an attempt to clean them.
Never repair or alter the tank yourself.
Explosion hazard!
3 .2 . Intended Use
The device is intended exclusively for spray-
ing pesticides, including herbicides, in the
concentrations indicated by the substance
manufacturer.
3 .3 . General Information
Substances, other than those indicated
above and the aforementioned excluded
applications constitute improper use.
We are not liable for any damages or injuries
resulting from improper use and for any user
changes to the sprayer.
Use of the sprayer for the intended purpose
also means that these Instructions for Use
have been read and observed!
These compression sprayers are not suitable
and may not, under any circumstances, be
used with:
- Very viscous, adhesive or residue-forming
liquids (dyes, greases) that cannot be fully
cleaned out of the sprayer.
- Do not leave the sprayer in the sun.
- Do not leave the sprayer pressurised for
more than 1 hour. For safety, pull-up the
knob from the safety valve (Figure 15).
- While pumping, always observe the piston-
type pressure gauge and do not exceed
the permissible operating pressure (see
Technical Data).
- Always operate and carry the sprayer in an
upright position.
- After use and prior to maintenance activi-
ties, completely depressurise the tank.
Pull-up the knob from the safety valve until
the tank is depressurised (Fig. 15).
4 Scope of delivery
(Figure 1a or 1b)
Keep the Instructions for Use so you can
refer to them at a later date. Do not throw
away!
5 Initial Assembly
Assembly Instructions, see page 3.
6 Get ready for use
(Figure 2-12)
• Always depressurise first. Pull-up the safety
valve until air stops blowing
(Figure 2).
• Now remove the screw cap from the tank
(Figure 3a)
and place the cap into the hol-
ding slot
(Figure 3b).
• The filter can either be left in the filling ope
-
ning
(Figure 4a)
or placed inside the cap
(Figure 4b).
• Fill the tank with the spray liquid. Observe
max. filling level (5 l)
(Figure 5)
. The filling
level can be read-off from the graduated
window (most conveniently from inside to
outside through the filling opening).
