Emergency Power Off (Remote E.P.O.)
In accordance with the standards, the UPS is fitted with an emergency device that uses a
normally closed contact (already installed on the UPS) that can be opened to activate the
emergency machine power off.
The E.P.O. terminals are:
- on the front right of the disconnector box for ARCHIMOD
®
20, 40 and 60kVA;
- on the back of the disconnector box for ARCHIMOD
®
80, 100 and 120kVA;
- in the UPS’s rear panel, terminals 3 and 4 of the 6-pole Combicon connector installed on all
contact interfaces if indicated by the silk-screen print (see 2.5.2).
If there is more than one contact interface, connect the E.P.O terminals that are on each contact
interface as follows:
• connect the E.P.O. terminals of the interfaces together in series;
• close the series created on the n.c. contact of the emergency stop.
Example of an E.P.O. connection if there are 2 contact interfaces, A and B: connect terminal 4
of interface A to terminal 3 of interface B to obtain a series. Connect terminal 3 of interface A
and terminal 4 of interface B to the n.c. contact of the emergency stop.
To connect the emergency power off device please follow these instructions:
- use a cable with double insulation;
- connect the cables as shown in the following figure;
