No-voltage release
The no-voltage release feature prevents
the splitter from starting up when the
power is restored after a power failure.
Two-hand operation
Two-hand operation ensures that the
splitting knife travels downward only
when both operating levers are simulta-
neously pressed down.
Safety gate
The safety gate prevents the split parts
of a log falling from the table, possibly
injuring the operator.

5.1
Machine Installation
A
Danger!
This splitter shall only be operated at
a location meeting the following con-
ditions:
level, non-slip ground
splitter must stand firmly on the
ground

Note
:
Have another person help you to
unpack, assemble and install the splitter.
1.
Transport the splitter on the pallet to
a suitable location.
2.
Remove packing and enclosed
parts.
3.
Lift splitter off the pallet.
4.
Assemble the components (assem-
bly is described in the following sec-
tions):
wheel set
operating levers
safety gate
work table
5.
Vent the hydraulic system.
5.2
Transport
1.
Close the oil reservoir cap before
moving.
2.
Hold the splitter with both hands at
the transport handle and tip over
slightly.
3.
After moving:
Open oil reservoir cap until the
hydraulic oil reservoir is vented.
A
Danger when hoisting by
crane!
Do not lift and move the splitter by
the transport handle.
Use suitable transport straps to hoist
the splitter by crane.
