Step 6: Position the optical axis cover on the screw hole
at the top of the shaft, insert it correctly and tigh-
ten it.

7.1 Setting the tapping direction

The factory setting is vertical tapping mode. Before star-
ting tapping, make sure that an exact right angle is set
between the worktable plane and the main axis of the
tapping machine.
Step 1: Loosen the locking screws on both sides as
shown in figure 6A.
You can rotate the threading spindle down 90
degrees to switch to horizontal threading mode
or adjust the position of the spindle and work-
piece in vertical orientation.
You can rotate the threading spindle down 90
degrees to switch to horizontal threading mode,
or adjust the position of the spindle and work-
piece in vertical alignment and then tighten both
side screws. The horizontal tapping mode is
shown in Figure 6B.
Step 2: The spindle can be rotated 360 degrees to per-
form tapping operations at any angle, automati-
cally maintaining the horizontal position.
Step 3: To return to vertical tapping mode, loosen the
locking screws and adjust the vertical position of
the spindle. Then tighten the locking screws
again.

ATTENTION!
The unit may only be operated with the supplied
mains cable! Plug the mains cable into the socket on
the back of the machine as shown in figure 7.
When doing so, make sure that the machine is pro-
perly connected to the protective earth conductor to
avoid electrical accidents.
