20 - Check damaged parts.
- Before using the tool for other purposes, examine
it carefully to determine whether it will operate
correctly and accomplish its planned function.
- Check the alignment or locking of the moving
parts, and the absence of any broken parts or any
fixing and other conditions that are likely to affect
the operation of the tool.
- A protective guard or other damaged part should
be repaired or replaced by an approved
maintenance centre, unless stated otherwise in this
instruction manual.
- Have defective switches replaced by an approved
maintenance centre.
- Do not use the tool if the switch does not permit
change from the on state to the off state.

Safety measures

Operation in complete safety
- Choose a saw blade suited to the material to be
cut.
- Do not use the saw to cut materials other than

working order and correctly maintained and in place.
- Keep the ground surface free of loose materials,
for example chips and dust.
- Check that the speed marked on the blade is at
least equal to the speed marked on the saw.
- Check that all the spacers and clamp rings for the
spindle used are suited to their use according to the
manufacturer's indications.
- When a laser is provided: warning that exchange
for a laser of different type is not permitted.

INSTALLATION
Bench mounting
When the tool is shipped, the handle is locked in the
lowered position by the stopper pin. Release the
stopper pinby simultaneously applying a slight
downward pressure on the handle and pulling the
stopper pin.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
WARNING:
• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and
unplugged before adjusting or checking
function on the tool. Failure to switch off and
unplug the tool may result in serious personal injury
from accidental start-up.
Blade guard
When lowering the handle, the blade guard rises
automatically.
The blade guard returns to its original position
when the cut is completed and the handle is raised.
WARNING:
• Never defeat or remove the blade guard or the
spring which attaches to the guard. An exposed
blade as a result of defeated guarding may result in
serious personal injury during operation.
In the interest of your personal safety, always
maintain the blade guard in good condition. Any
irregular operation of the blade guard should be
corrected immediately.
