Additional statements for mitre saws
Safety measures
- Do not use damaged or deformed blades.
- Replace the table block when it is worn
- Only use blades recommended by the
manufacturer.
- Do not use saw blades made from high speed
steel.
- Wear suitable personal protective equipment,
if necessary, which could include:
- hearing protection to reduce the risk
of induced hearing loss
- eye protection
- respiratory protection to reduce the
risk of inhaling dangerous dusts
- gloves for handling blades (the
blades must be carried in a support
when this is
possible) and raw materials.
Operation in complete safety
- Choose a saw blade suited to the material to
be cut.
- Do not use the saw to cut materials other than
those recommended by the manufacturer.
- Only use the saw with protective guards in
good working order and correctly maintained
and in place.
- Keep the ground surface free of loose
materials, for example chips and dust.
- Check that the speed marked on the blade is
at least equal to the speed marked on the saw.
- Check that all the spacers and clamp rings for
the spindle used are suited to their use
according to the manufacturer's indications.
- When a laser is provided: warning that
exchange for a laser of different type is not
permitted.
Instruction that repairs must be made by the
laser manufacturer or an authorised agent.
- Refrain from removing any debris or any other
part of the piece to be machined from the
cutting zone whilst the machine is operating and
when the saw head is not in the rest position.
- How to make cuts correctly and in complete
safety:
- always fix the piece to be cut firmly to
the saw support.
- before each cut check that the tool is
still stable and fixed.
- if necessary fix the tool to a work
bench or similar.

INSTALLATION
Bench mounting
When the tool is shipped, the handle is locked
in the lowered position by the stopper pin.
Release the stopper pinby simultaneously
applying a slight downward pressure on the
handle and pulling the stopper pin.
