5.  Cleaning

Disconnect unit from electrical supply prior to cleaning.

Use of a water hose or pressure cleaning jet is strictly forbidden.

Never use coarse abrasive to clean exterior surfaces. A soft cloth with a warm water and detergent solu-

tion is sufficient. Rinse with a damp clean cloth and wipe dry.

It is not allowed to wipe the undersides of cooking plates swung up to a cleaning position

with a wet sponge, cloth etc, because water flowing down the plate is absorbed into the

insulating material thus causing earth leakage.

When cleaning the cooking plates, observe that they are hot a long time after they have

been switched off. When the cooking plates are lifted up for cleaning, it is advisable to

support the plate in the upper position with one hand thus preventing the possibility that

they unexpectedly return to their working position. Lift the plate up and place it down by

gripping the outer edge of the plate, as there is too little space for your fingers between

the plates in the middle of the range (your fingers may become trapped).

Be careful when removing the spillage tray, as it may contain spillages that are still hot.

Clean spillage tray.

Cleaning is very easy, if possible spill overs are removed immediately with a damp cloth.

Sugar and mixes containing much sugar must be removed immediately, because later removing

is laborious.

Always dry the cooking plates after cleaning by heating them up.

Clean cooking plates give an efficient heat transfer to the cookware. Cooking is then fast and the service

life of the cooking plates is extended.

Oven interior

Wipe with soft cloth using warm water and detergent solution. Thoroughly rinse by wiping with a damp

clean cloth and wipe dry.

Under no circumstances should abrasives, scrapers, knives, scourers, paste, bleaches, steel wool with

or without soap, aerosol or proprietary oven cleaning pads be used on enamelled panels.
