BRAKES
The brakes are one of the most im-
portant safety features of a wheel-
chair.
The wheelchair is equipped, as stand-
ard, with two independently-working
braking systems.
THE MAGNETIC BRAKE
An electronic service brake which
brakes the wheelchair gently without
jerking.
THE SAFETY MAGNETIC
BRAKE
It only serves as standstill brake and is
activated through the brake release
lever. At the same time it guarantees
the automatic braking of the wheel-
chair in case of a power failure.
You switch the safety magnetic brakes
from the drive mode to the push
mode with the brake release lever lo-
cated at the side of the wheelchair!
Also observe the signs affixed to the
left and right of the brake release le-
ver.
!
Caution:
Danger of crushing between the
drive wheel and frame.
The safety magnetic brakes are im-
mediately fully effective after the
brake release lever is pushed into
the drive mode position. Con-
trolled braking is not possible!
Please observe the Safety Informa-
tion!
If drive mode is switched off (brake
release lever in the push position)
the wheelchair cannot be operated
and braked via the joystick! In this
event, use the brake release lever
(shift to the < drive > position). Dan-
ger of accidents!
!
Caution:
Observe the contents of the < Safe-
ty information > brochure!
Emergency off
!
Caution:
Only in case of uncontrolled driv-
ing behaviour of the vehicle should
you bring it to a still stand by
switching it off.
