SERVICE
Maintenance
Like any other technical product, your wheel-
chair also requires maintenance. The follow-
ing maintenance instructions describe in ta-
ble form the measures necessary in order for
you to continue enjoying the benefits of your
wheelchair (e.g. easy folding, little rolling re-
sistance) to the full, even after a long period
of use.
Tools
The following tools are needed for the adjust-
ments that can be done by the user:
Hexagonal stud wrench DIN 911
2x WW* 4
1x WW* 5
1x WW* 6
Open-end or ring spanner
1x WW* 8 – Open-end spanner
1x WW* 10
1x WW* 13
*WW = Wrench width (mm)
Care
Seat and backrest cover:
Clean the covers with warm water. In the
case of stubborn soiling, the fabric can be
washed with a standard washing powder for
delicate fabrics. Spots can be removed with
a sponge or a soft brush.
☞
Note:
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents
e.g. solvents, or hard brushes etc.
Rinse with clear water and allow to dry. A
subsequent impregnation with a commercial-
ly available aerosol impregnator is recom-
mendable. Always observe the specific prod-
uct information.
Plastic parts:
Take care of these by means of standard
plastics cleaning agents. Always observe the
specific product information.
Finish:
The high quality finish ensures an optimum of
protection against corrosion. Should the
coating be damaged through scratches or
similar, repair the spot with a varnish pen
that you can obtain from us. Occasional
application of a light cover of oil to all mov-
ing parts (see also Maintenance Instructions)
will ensure that your wheelchair will give you
many years of service.
A cleaning with a dry cloth is usually suffi-
cient for the maintenance of the spokes. Dull
spots or very adherent soiling are best re-
moved with an appropriate quality cleaning
agent. Slight lubrication of the spokes with
Vaseline prevents premature tarnishing of the
coating.
