Safety information

Read and observe the contents of
this Operating Manual before the
fi rst use of the toilet wheelchair.
•
All components must be checked
for damage and tightness before
the use.
•
The toilet wheelchair is only to be
used with the aid of an accompa-
nying person or assistant and
•
only permitted for transporting a
person as well
•
as for short trips. – Health can suf-
fer from long-term use since no
spring elements exist.
•
For your own safety sit back as far
as possible in the seat. – Danger of
overturning!
•
Avoid bending forwards and ex-
treme leaning of the upper body
to the front, side or rear, especially
when picking up or laying down
objects. – Danger of overturning
of the toilet wheelchair.
•
Use both armrests for support
when leaving the wheelchair. Call
a helper if not possible.
•
Absolutely avoid a one-sided sup-
port on the left or right arm sup-
port when standing up.
•
There is a danger of overturning of
the toilet wheelchair if the wheel
positions are unfavourable.
•
The leg support is to be swivelled
upward before transferring from/
into the toilet wheelchair.
•
Do not relieve your legs by resting
them on the edge of the bath tub
or other objects. – Risk of overturn-
ing when leaning backwards.
•
Do not utilise removable or swiv-
elling parts for lifting the toilet
wheelchair.
•
Do not lift or carry the toilet wheel-
chair with a person seated inside.
•
The operation is only permitted on
a level surface, but not for
–
driving on uneven or rough
surfaces. – Greater rolling resist-
ance; Danger of tipping!
–
driving on gradients. – Danger
of accidents!
–
crossing obstacles (e.g. steps,
ledges). – Danger of accidents!
•
Moisture and dampness mean dan-
ger of slipping.
•
The toilet wheelchair is to be pro-
tected against unauthorised use,
(especially by children), e.g. pedal
down the brake.
•
Always secure the toilet wheelchair
against rolling away.
•
Do not brake the toilet wheelchair
with the feet when the footplates
are up folded. – Risk of injury by
spraining the ankles!
