Operation Guide
Power Connection
Connect to a suitable 220-240V ~50Hz power supply only. This appliance is designed to
operate safely across both New Zealand and Australian power supplies. This appliance must be
earthed.
First Time Use
When first used the heat elements may not heat satisfactorily until they have settled. This is
normal as the elements may take 2-3 uses before operating at a maximum heat level. It is
suggested that you operate the appliance 2 times without bread to allow the elements to settle
correctly.
Basic Toasting
Ensure the toaster is correctly located and connected to a suitable power supply. Ensure the
bread carriage lever is in the raised position.
Set the heating dial to a mid setting (3-4) of your choice.
Place the bread into the bread carriage slots and lower the lever. Toasting will commence.
When toasting has completed the bread lever will release and toasting will stop.
Cancel Function
Press to cancel toasting at any stage
Reheat Function
Cold toast may be reheated. Always remove any spreads that may remain on the cold toast.
Place the bread in bread carriage, select desired heat setting and lower the bread carriage lever.
Press the
REHEAT
button. Toasting will operate for a shortened time.
Defrost Function
Bread can be toasted straight from the freezer.
Place the frozen bread into the bread carriage as normal, select desired heat setting and lower
the bread carriage lever. Press the
DEFROST
button. Toasting will operate for an extended
period.
Toasting Tips
Thin sliced bread will toast quicker than toast sized bread. Thin sliced bread or torn bread
should not be used as it may bend under cooking process and jam the toaster in an ON
position creating a fire risk. Always use toast sized bread and were possible toast two pieces at
the same time.
