Connecting to an External USB Device
The scanner comes with two USB ports, one is used to connect with the
computer, and the other is used to connect with an external Microtek's
flatbed scanner.
1. Follow the procedure (Steps 1 through 4) for “Initial Setup” section to
connect your scanner first.
2. Connect an external flatbed scanner to your scanner.
3. Turn on your computer.
The system will start to locate your external flatbed scanner. When the
external flatbed scanner is found, the found flatbed scanner appears on
the device list, indicating your external flatbed scanner is ready for use.
NOTE:
1. Your scanner has to be connected to your computer and plugged into
a power source first, and then both of them need to be powered on.
At this moment, the external flatbed scanner connected through the
scanner may be detected and work properly.
2. The external USB port supports Microtek's flatbed scanners only.
