12.1 General maintenance
l
Inspect the myDatalog2Ex regularly for mechanical damage.
l
Check all cables for mechanical damage at regular intervals.
l
Clean the myDatalog2Ex with a soft, moist cloth. Use a mild cleaning agent, if necessary.
Important note: Due to the electrostatic effects, the protective armour must not be rubbed
with cloths in the Ex zone.
12.2 Accu or battery pack
While battery packs are intended for single use and must be disposed of accordingly after depletion,
accu packs can be recharged and used again and again. However, the service time of accu packs is
not indefinite. In addition to regular servicing and maintenance, its service life is also dependent on
the frequency of use and the operating and storage conditions.
12.3 Replacing the rechargeable battery or battery pack
Important note: A dry location must be used to replace the rechargeable battery or battery
pack. If this is not possible, protect the opened device against penetrating moisture using
suitable means.
1. Ensure that all of the relevant data was transferred to the myDatanet server. If necessary, ini-
tiate the ALOHA transmission mode using the solenoid contact (see "ALOHA transmission
mode" on page 35) and then check again that all of the relevant data has been transferred.
2. Now remove the cables and antenna.
