11.1 General maintenance
l
Inspect the myDatalog4 regularly for mechanical damage.
l
Check all cables for mechanical damage at regular intervals.
l
Clean the myDatalog4 with a soft, moist cloth. Use a mild cleaning agent, if necessary.
11.2 Accu or battery pack
While battery packs are intended for single use and must be disposed of accordingly after depletion,
accu packs can be recharged and used again and again. However, the service time of accu packs is
not indefinite. In addition to regular servicing and maintenance, its service life is also dependent on
the frequency of use and the operating and storage conditions.
11.3 Replacing the rechargeable battery or battery pack
1. Ensure that all of the relevant data was transferred to the myDatanet server. If necessary, ini-
tiate the ALOHA transmission mode using the solenoid contact (see "ALOHA transmission
mode" on page 28) and then check again that all of the relevant data has been transferred.
2. Now remove the cables and antenna.
3. Press the upper end of the device out of the protective armour (see "Removing the protective
armour - step 1" on page 112) and then remove it fully from the protective armour (see
"Removing the protective armour - step 2" on page 112)
