12.2.1 Charging the accu pack
The accu packs are delivered charged. If you use an external charging voltage (V
in
) during operation,
the accu pack is constantly charged by the charge controller integrated in the myDatalogEASYplus .
If no external charging voltage (V
in
) is available during operation, it is recommended to recharge the
accu pack prior to first use for reasons of operational safety.
Instructions on removing the accu pack are provided in "Replacing the rechargeable battery or bat-
tery pack" on page 113.
Important note: The accu or battery pack must only be replaced and/or charged in non-haz-
ardous areas and in dry conditions. Only use the Charger (206.710) to charge the lithium ion
accu pack. The charger specifications must be observed. The use of atypical chargers can
destroy the accu pack, for example, causing the cells to leak or an explosion, etc.
Charger and accu pack
1 Charger (206.710)
3 Charging plug
2 Status LED of the Charger
Flashing orange: Impulse charge (accu pack
fully discharged)
Orange: Accu pack is being charged
Green: Charging completed
Red: Accu pack damaged
4 Accu pack, for example, recharge-
able battery (206.722)
The charging process starts as soon as the accu pack is connected to the charger. The accu pack is
fully discharged if the status LED on the charger flashes orange. The charging process will take con-
siderably longer in this case. If the status LED is orange, a normal charging process is started. The
charging process is complete when the status LED turns green.
If the status LED turns red, the accu pack is faulty. Possible reasons for this include a broken cable,
short circuit or defective cells. In this case, the used accu pack must be replaced by a new one.
