Explanation: To react to a level change at the universal inputs as quickly as possible, the module chain detailed in
"Diagram of the internal processing of the measurement values" on page 25 (with exception of the control
module) for the relevant universal input is operated once per second in digital or digital LP operating mode. This
ensures that alarms and triggers are detected asynchronously to the measurement cycle. The signal must be
present for at least 1 second to definitely detect a pulse safely. Additionally, any brief faults can be eliminated
with the help of the "filter time".
