Chapter 7 Installation
If the distance between the antenna position and the myDatalogEASYplus is too great, you can use
a 5 m Extension cable for antenna FME-F/FME-M 5m (206.805).
1. Ensure that the myDatalogEASYplus is de-energised.
2. If you need an antenna extension, connect it to the antenna first.
3. Connect the antenna extension or antenna directly to the antenna connector of the
myDatalogEASYplus (see "Overview" on page 17).
Important note: Do not apply too much force when tightening the antenna. Do not use
any tools to tighten the antenna or antenna extension; only tighten it manually. During
this process, you should only touch the antenna in the area marked on the graphic, as
the top part of antennas delivered up until 09/2013 can detach.
Tightening the antenna
4. Switch the power supply of the myDatalogEASYplus back on.
The following step is not mandatory.
5. Check whether the connection to the myDatanet has worked correctly (see "Testing
communication with the device" on page 60).
7.4.3 Technical details about the universal inputs
Note: The universal inputs are not galvanically isolated.
7.4.3.1 0/4 to 20mA mode
Note: Above 22,5mA, the relevant input becomes highly resistive (safety shutdown to prevent damage to the
universal input).
