Chapter 7 Installation
Note:
Example to explain the connection between the warmup time and the measurement cycle (warmup time <
measurement cycle):
Basic setting
Measurement cycle
1min.
Output channels
Ext warmup time
20
Unit
sec.
Output on the device
Sensor supply
Explanation:
The sensor supply is activated before the actual time of the measurement in accordance with the
warmup time. In the current example this is 20 seconds before the end of the measurement cycle. The
measurement is thus completed exactly at the calculated time.
Note:
Example to explain the connection between the warmup time and the measurement cycle (warmup time >
measurement cycle):
Basic setting
Measurement cycle
1min.
Output channels
Ext warmup time
90
Unit
sec.
Output on the device
Sensor supply
Explanation:
The system recognises that the warmup time is greater than the measurement cycle. This is why
the sensor supply is activated immediately after the PowerOn and remains permanently active. At the time of
the first measurement, the sensor supply had not yet been active for the duration of the ext. warmup time.
warmup time. This means that the measurement value of the connected sensor is probably not stable yet and
the measurement is thus invalid. In this example, only the second measurement after the PowerOn is valid.
