SCM4000
Operator’s Guide/Tech Ref Manual
The flexible architecture of the SCM4000 allows a number of
options for the power source. The SCM4000 configurations can
be ordered to operate on the following optional AC and DC
power sources:
•
120/240 VAC, 50/60 Hz
•
+24 to +48 VDC
•
-24 to -48 VDC
Fuse ratings for the optional AC and DC power sources are
shown in
Refer to the
“Installation” Chapter on page 5-1
(part of the
SCM4000 Technical Reference Manual only) for additional
installation information.
Mounting and Deployment Options
The SCM4000 may be used in either fixed or mobile
applications. For fixed or mobile installation applications, the
SCM4000 is usually mounted in a standard 19-inch (48.3 cm)
rack.

System Operation
For the field operator, the SCM4000 has up
to nine Presets that can be selected from the front panel. Each
Preset controls key parameters such as modulation and audio
and video settings.
Typical SCM4000 Configuration Block Diagrams are provided in
the following paragraphs.
