Using the i2-mini 32 BT
Simply connect your i2-mini 32 BT with the USB cable to a free USB port of your Mac or
Windows PC computer. After connecting the OS automatically installs the keyboard as a MIDI
input device.
Please switch the keyboard on at the back-sided power switch. To the left side, it works battery
powered. To the right side, it works USB powered.
Depending on the OS, the i2-mini 32 BT can be called different in your system. For example, in
Windows XP it can be named „USB audio device“, in Windows 7 „AKM320“.
Please setup this device as the MIDI input device in your music software.
To use a DIN MIDI connection, please connect the DIN MIDI adaptor to the jack on the back
side. The DIN MIDI adaptor you can find inside your keyboard package.
The Bluetooth connection works automatically. The blue LED on the back side flickers while
pairing and lights permanently if the connection is established. To use Bluetooth with Apples
iOS, Bluetooth must be actiavted in iOS. Then start your App, e.g. Garageband, and go to the
MIDI setup of the App, there you will find the i2-32 BT driver. Please setup the driver as the
MIDI input.
To switch between one additional octave up or down, please press one of the buttons on the left
side of the keyboard. Press one time the left button, the keyboard will switch to one octave lower.
Press one time the right button for changing the octave range one octave up.
In the same ways the Tranpose buttons work, up and down maximum 12 semitones.
Each time your keyboard is powered off, this setting goes back to the factory default.
The volume slider controls the basic MIDI volume (CC 7) of the keyboard.
Connect an optional sustain pedal to the sustain jack on the back side of the i2-mini to control a
sustain effect. You can use a „closer“ pedal or a pedal, which has a switchable polarity.
