With the aid of the following guide, minor problems can be easily corrected
without contacting Miele.
If having followed the suggestions below, you still cannot resolve the problem,
please contact Miele (see back cover for contact details).
Danger of injury. Installation, maintenance and repairs to electrical appli-
ances must only be carried out by a suitably qualified and competent person in
strict accordance with current local and national safety regulations.
Do not open the casing of the appliance.
Repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be dangerous and Miele
cannot be held liable for unauthorised work.
Problem
Cause and remedy
You cannot switch the
appliance on.
The fuse is defective or has tripped.
Reset the trip switch in the mains fuse box or re-
place the fuse (minimum fuse rating - see data
plate).
There may be a technical fault.
Disconnect the appliance from the mains connec-
tion for approx. 1 minute:
– switch off at the isolator, or
– disconnect the mains fuse.
If, after resetting the trip switch in the mains fuse
box and switching the appliance back on, the ap-
pliance will still not heat up, contact a qualified
electrician or Miele.
The steam oven does
not heat up.
Demo mode is active
Deactivate demo mode. See "Settings - Show-
room programme".
The fan can still be
heard after the appli-
ance has been switched
off.
The fan is still running.
The appliance is fitted with a fan which removes
steam from the oven. The fan will continue to run for
a while after the appliance has been switched off. It
will switch itself off automatically after a while.
A humming sound can
be heard after switching
on the appliance, during
operation and after
switching off the appli-
ance.
It is quite normal and does not indicate any fault with
the appliance. It happens when water is being
pumped through the system.
