Examples of use
Irrigation sleeves are suitable for reprocessing hollow instruments and
instruments with the following external diameters:
– E 442, irrigation sleeves for instruments Ø 4 - 8 mm, 121 mm long,
Ø 11 mm, cap with aperture Ø 6 mm
– E 443, irrigation sleeves for instruments Ø 8 - 8.5 mm, 121 mm
long, Ø 11 mm, cap with aperture Ø 10 mm
The aperture can be varied using optional replacement caps:
– E 445, 12 caps for irrigation sleeves, aperture Ø 6 mm
– E 446, 12 caps for irrigation sleeves, aperture Ø 10 mm
The diameter of the instruments and apertures in the sleeves or
caps should be matched to each other.
Place the shafts of MIS instruments in irrigation sleeves with caps.
Place HF forceps and electrodes in irrigation sleeves with caps,
with the functional ends pointing downwards.
Place instruments which cannot be dismantled in an irrigation slee‐
ve. The functional ends must be open; if necessary use an E 472
spring clamp to hold them open.
Attach the side connectors for instruments with an
E 448 hose adapter. Secure the hose adapter to the injector mani‐
fold using a silicone holder or with a screw fitting.
Push the trocar with lumen into the irrigation sleeve.
Push trocar sleeves of less than 10 mm Ø into irrigation sleeves. At‐
tach the side connector using an E 448 hose adapter. Secure the
hose adapter to the injector manifold using a silicone holder or with
a screw fitting.
