Cleaning the housing

Switch off at the wall socket and
remove the plug before undertaking
any cleaning of the housing.
Do not use any abrasive cleaners!
Depending on the level of soiling, the
housing can be wiped clean with either
a dry or damp all purpose microfibre
cloth (see 'Optional accessories').
Cleaning the sole plate

Caution! Danger of burning!
The sole plate remains very hot for
some time after ironing. Allow the
sole plate to cool down completely
before cleaning.

Before cleaning the sole plate, switch
off the appliance and at the mains.
Depending on the level of soiling, the
sole plate can be wiped clean with
either a dry or damp all purpose
microfibre cloth (see 'Optional
accessories').
To avoid damaging the surface of the
sole plate, do not use:
– Abrasive cleaning agents, e.g.
powder cleaners and cream cleaners
– Hard, abrasive brushes or sponges,
e.g. pot scourers, brushes or
sponges which have been previously
used with abrasive cleaning agents
– Sharp, pointed objects
