Electrical connection
All electrical work should be carried out
by a suitably qualified and competent
person in strict accordance with current
local and national safety regulations.
Before connecting the appliance, make
sure that the connection data on the
data plate (voltage and rated load)
matches the mains electricity supply.
If in doubt, consult a qualified
electrician.
The data plate is located in the tower,
behind the water container.
This appliance is supplied with a mains
cable and moulded plug ready for
connection to a AC single phase
220-240 V 50-60 Hz supply.
The voltage and frequency are given on
the data plate, located in the tower
behind the water container. Please
ensure these match the household
mains supply, and contact a qualified
electrician if in doubt. The fuse rating is
quoted on the plug.
Connection should bi made via a
suitable switched socket which is easily
accessible. For extra saftey is
advisable to install a suitable residual
current device (RCD).
Do not connect the appliance to the
mains electricity supply by a extension
lead or a plug adapter. Extension leads
do not gurantee the required safety of
ther appliance (e.g. danger of
overheating).
For extra safety and protection we
recommend connecting the appliance
via a 30 mA residual current device
(RCD).
If the electrical connection cable is
faulty this must only be replaced by a
suitably qualified and competent
person.
The appliance must not be connected
to the
inverter
of an autonomous power
supply, e.g. a solar power system.
When switching the appliance on, a
surge in the power could trigger the
safety cut-out mechanism. This could
damage the electronic unit.
The appliance must not be used with
so-called
energy saving devices
.
These reduce the energy supply to the
appliance which could then become
too warm.
If mains connection cable is damaged,
it must be replaced with a Miele cable
by a Miele approved service technician
only.
