Disinfect items
The steam oven can be used to disin-
fect baby bottles and other containers
so that at the end of the programme
they are as germ free as they would
have been had they been boiled. Check
beforehand that all parts, teats etc. are
declared by the manufacturer to be heat
resistant to 100 °C and also that they
can withstand hot steam.
Dismantle, clean and thoroughly rinse
baby bottles. All parts of the bottles
must be completely dry before they are
reassembled to keep them germ free.
Place the individual parts in a perfor-
ated container (on their sides or with
the opening facing downwards), en-
suring that they do not touch one an-
other. This will allow hot steam to
reach them from all sides.

Temperature: 100 °C
Duration: 15 minutes
Heating damp flannels
Moisten the flannels and then roll
them up.
Place them beside one another in a
perforated cooking container.
Settings
Temperature: 70 °C
Duration: 2 minutes
Decrystallise honey
Loosen the lid and place the jar of
honey in a perforated container.
Stir the honey once during the cook-
ing duration.
Settings
Temperature: 60 °C
Duration: 90 minutes (irrespective of the
size of jar or the amount of honey in the
jar)
