DGC 6xxx
Heat-up
phase:
1. Bottom heat activated. Short cycle times.
2. Broil and top heater elements activated alternately.
3. Steam generation initially starts with heater elements in series before
being switched back to heating with one circuit.
Regulating
phase:
1. Bottom heater element activated in pulses.
2. Broil and top heater elements activated alternately. Duty cycles are
now considerably shorter.
3. Steam generation is carried out with the heater elements connected
either in series (550W) or in parallel (1100W).
2.5.6
Combination Cooking with Broil
Combination cooking / Broil 302°F / 30% humidity
Heat-up
phase:
1. Top heat/broil element activated. During the heat-up phase, heater
element duty cycles are relatively long.
2. Steam delivery starts with two heater elements in the steam generator
connected in series (550W). At times, only 1 heater element is
activated alone (1100W).
Regulating
phase:
1. Top heat/broil element activated in pulses. Duty cycles are very short.
2. Steam delivery with 1100W or 550W as required.
2.6 Care
Programs
2.6.1 Rinsing
A rinse program is available to remove meat juices and grease from the
internal drainage system. After a cooking cycle, the steam generator is
overfilled and heated by one of the steam generator heating elements. Water
is then passed through the steam intake opening into the cavity and the
bottom heater element is activated. Water is heated to around 176°F and
collects in the drain area. Grease that may have collected in the drain area
during cooking is released and removed from the appliance by the
condensate pump.
The Rinse program is activated as standard but it can be deactivated as a
user-programmable option.
2.6.2 Soak
The Soak program can be used to loosen non-burnt-on grease in the cavity,
making it easier to clean.
2.6.3 Drying
The Drying program is used to remove moisture residue from the cavity.
