Warning!
Heat damage of the roast probe is possible.
The roast probe must not remain in the oven cavity when it is not in use.
Always keep the roast probe in the holder provided when not in use.
2.8.5
Measuring the Core Temperature Using Conventional Methods
This paragraph outlines the reasons why measuring the core temperature
with conventional methods is not possible.
Parallel temperature measurement with a wireless roast probe and a
conventional meter.
Identical test results are not possible with two different insertion positions/two
different meters.
Reason:
The temperatures will be different because meat is not a homogeneous
mass.
A conventional meter can disrupt the signal transmission in the wireless roast
probe thermometer.
Using the insertion hole of the wireless roast probe thermometer for
measuring the core temperature.
The insertion hole of the wireless roast probe thermometer should not be
used for measuring the core temperature with a conventional meter.
Reason:
When the wireless roast probe thermometer is removed, meat juices can run
out. This will result in a different temperature reading than that registered by
the conventional meter.
Parallel temperature measurement with a wireless roast probe and a
conventional meter in a water glass.
Parallel temperature measurement with a wireless roast probe and a
conventional meter in a water glass is not possible.
Reason:
A conventional meter can disrupt the signal transmission in the wireless roast
probe thermometer.
The heat distribution in water is different than in meat. Temperature increases
noticeably more quickly in water. This can lead to inaccurate readings from
the wireless roast probe system.
