Placing the appliance in the
niche
If you are installing two appliances
side by side, now secure the
appliances to one another (see the
instructions for the side-by-side
installation kit).
^
Unscrew the plinth facing.
^
Protect the adjacent furniture fronts.
^
Plug in the appliance
a
.
Connection should be made via a
suitable switched socket. The
socket should be close to the
appliance and easily accessible.
Otherwise the appliance should be
connected via an external all-pole
switch with a sufficient contact gap
in the open position.
When installing two appliances side
by side, each appliance must have
its own separate socket.
^
Secure the cable to prevent it
becoming caught:
Tie a piece of string to the middle of
the cable, and as the appliance is
being pushed into the niche, pull the
cable forward underneath the
appliance
b
.
^
Push the appliance into the niche.
If the appliance does not slide easily
into the niche (e.g. if the floor is
uneven),
^
adjust the rear feet slightly (see
"Aligning the appliance").
Then push the appliance into the
niche, taking care not to damage
the electical and mains water
connections.
^
Remove the edge protector from the
adjacent furniture fronts.
