Problem
Possible cause and remedy
The heating works
but not the oven
lighting.
The lamp needs changing.
^
Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply:
Switch off and unplug at the socket, or remove the fuse,
or switch off at the isolator as appropriate.
^
Unscrew the lamp cover and the seal.
^
Replace the lamp.
When purchasing a new lamp, take the old one with you
to make sure you obtain the correct replacement (230 V,
25 W, E 14, heat-resistant to 300 °C).
^
Screw the lamp cover and the seal back on again.
^
Connect the appliance to the electricity supply.
Cakes and biscuits
are not cooked
properly after
following the times
given in the chart.
– Check that the correct temperature has been set.
– Check if you have amended the recipe. The addition of
more liquids or more eggs makes a moister mix which
would require a longer baking time.
– Check whether the grease filter is fitted in front of the air
inlet for the fan. If it is, the cooking time will increase by
approx. 10–15 minutes.
Browning is uneven. There will always be a slight unevenness. If browning is
very uneven, check whether the temperature was set too
high, or whether the correct shelf level was used.
With Conventional
V
, check the colour and material of the
baking tins being used. Light-coloured, shiny, or
thin-walled tins are less suitable.
