Using Holiday mode
28
This function is useful when you go on
holiday if you do not wish to switch the
refrigerator section off completely and
do not need a high degree of cooling.
The freezer section remains switched
on at -18 °C.
The refrigerator section is regulated at a
temperature between 10 and 12 °C,
which automatically sets the temperat-
ure in the PerfectFresh zone to between
8 and 10 °C. In this way, the refrigerator
section remains in operation whilst sav-
ing energy.
As a result of the higher temperature
during Holiday mode, the shelf life of
the food is reduced.
Do not store any temperature-sensit-
ive food which goes off easily such
as fruit, vegetables, fish, meat and
dairy products during this time.
Food which does not go off quickly
can be stored in the appliance for some
time at this temperature and the energy
consumption is lower than in normal
operation.
This also prevents the build-up of
odours and mould which can occur if
the refrigerator section is switched off
and the appliance door is closed.
Switching Holiday mode
on / off
If Holiday mode cannot be switched
on, the refrigerator section has been
switched off separately.
If the Super cool function is switched
on, this will be switched off when Holi-
day mode is selected.
If previously switched on, Holiday
mode will switch off if there is an inter-
ruption to the power supply.
Touch the
sensor briefly.
In normal operation the upper temperat-
ure display shows
and the lower
temperature display
the highest cur-
rent temperature
in the freezer section.
Switching off:
Touch the
sensor.
The appliance will start cooling the Re-
frigerator zone/PerfectFresh zone down
to the previously set temperature.
