Storing food in the PerfectFresh Pro zone

Dry compartment
The dry compartment is ideal for storing
foods which perish easily, such as
– fish and seafood;
– meat, poultry and sausages;
– salads and lettuce;
– dairy products, e.g. yogurt, cheese,
cream, quark etc;
– you can also use the dry compart-
ment to store all kinds of food,
providing it is wrapped.
The main advantage of the dry com-
partment is the low temperature (rather
than the humidity). The humidity in the
dry compartment is approximately the
same as in a standard refrigerator.
Please note that food rich in protein de-
teriorates faster than other types of
food.
Shellfish, for example, deteriorates
faster than fish, and fish deteriorates
faster than meat.
Always keep these foods
covered or
wrapped
.

Humidity level not increased
At the
setting the humidity controlled
compartment becomes a dry compart-
ment - the regulator opens the vents in
the compartment so the humidity es-
capes (see "Dry compartment
").
Increased humidity
/
With the regulator at the
or
set-
ting, the humidity controlled compart-
ment is suitable for storing fruit and ve-
getables:
– Select the
setting if storing a large
quantity of fruit and vegetables (the
regulator partially closes the vents in
the compartment so that some of the
moisture already present is retained).
– Select the
setting, if using the hu-
midity controlled compartment to
store only a small quantity of fruit and
vegetables (the regulator closes the
vents in the compartment completely
so that all of the moisture already
present is retained).
Tip:
If the humidity level is too high and
a lot of moisture has collected in the
compartment, select the
setting. If
the humidity level is too low, wrap the
food in airtight packaging.
The humidity level greatly depends on
the type and quantity of food being
stored, if stored unwrapped.
