Booster Function
The cooking zones are equipped with a booster or a twin
booster (see Guide to the cooktop).
The booster function increases the power so that large
quantities can be quickly heated, e.g. water for cooking
pasta. When activated, the cooking zones will heat with more
power for 15 minutes.
The booster function can only be used on two cooking zones
at a time, one on the left and one on the right.
If the booster function is activated when
– no power setting has been selected. The cooking zone will
automatically switch to level 9 at the end of the booster
time or if it is switched off before this.
– a power setting has been selected. The cooking zone will
automatically switch to the selected power level at the end
of the booster time or if it is switched off before this.
If the cookware is removed during the booster time, the
booster function is interrupted. It will resume if the cookware
is placed back on the cooking zone within 3 minutes.
In order to supply the booster power needed, another
cooking zone will operate at reduced power while the booster
is on. This means that the cooking zones are connected
(networked) in pairs, as shown here:
When Booster or Twin booster level 1 is activated, the
following happens to the connected cooking zone:
– if auto heat-up is activated, it will be deactivated.
– if the power level of the connected cooking zone is 9, it will
be reduced.
When Twin booster level 2 is activated, the connected
cooking zone is switched off.
