Problems with the ice cube maker
Problem
Cause and remedy
The ice cube maker will
not switch on.
The appliance is not connected to the power supply
or is not switched on.
Reconnect to the mains and switch the appliance
back on.
The ice cube maker is
not producing any ice
cubes.
The refrigeration appliance and the ice cube maker
are not switched on.
Switch the refrigeration appliance and the ice cube
maker on.
The temperature in the freezer zone is too high.
Select a lower temperature.
The appliance door has been opened too frequently,
causing the compressor to turn on more often and the
ice cube maker has iced up.
Only open the appliance door when necessary and
for as short a time as possible.
Remember that it can take up to 24 hours to pro-
duce the first ice cubes.
The ice cubes taste or
smell odd.
The ice cube maker is in continuous use and should
be cleaned regularly.
Rinse the ice cube maker and inlet pipe regularly.
The 1st three batches of ice should be thrown
away and not consumed.
The ice cube maker is rarely used. Ice cubes that are
stored for a long time can absorb the taste and smell
of other items.
Empty the ice cube drawer if you are not going to
