Tips on cooking
Wipe the surface of the Tepan Yaki
before each use with a damp cloth to
remove any dust or other residue.
– Pre-heat the Tepan Yaki thoroughly
for 2–3 minutes. To do this, set the
power level that you are going to be
using for cooking.
– It is important to get the Tepan Yaki
sufficiently hot before use, particu-
larly with meat. If it is not hot enough,
the meat will lose too much juice.
– Very little fat is required for cooking
on the Tepan Yaki and no fat is re-
quired for marinated food.
– Use only fats and oils that can with-
stand high temperatures.
– We recommend that you marinate
food before cooking. This will im-
prove the flavour of the food.
– Pat wet food dry with kitchen paper
before cooking to prevent it spitting.
– Salt meat only after cooking to pre-
vent it drying out.
