Cleaning the dispensing unit
The container should be cleaned each
time you change brand of liquid
detergent.
Cleaning the container and lid
,
Do not use solvents, abrasive
cleaners, glass cleaners or
all-purpose cleaning agents.
These might damage plastic
surfaces and other components
because of the chemicals they
contain.
^
Remove the container from its base.
^
Remove the lid.
^
Rinse the container with hot water to
remove any detergent residues.
^
Clean the container and lid with a
mild non-abrasive cleaning agent or
soap and water. Wipe dry with a soft
cloth.
^
Clean the valve in the bottom of the
container.
Remember to reset the detergent
dosage level if you change brand of
liquid detergent.
Cleaning the dispensing tube
It is not normally necessary to clean the
dispensing tube.
After refitting the container, sufficient
detergent for 2-3 washes will still be in
the system. After that the new detergent
will be used.
However if you have had any problems
with the old detergent (e.g. you have
had to change brand because of an
allergic reaction), you will have to
dismantle the dispensing tube and
rinse it out thoroughly.
After cleaning, the dispensing tube
must be primed with detergent again
and the dosage level must be set. See
"Before using for the first time
- Priming the liquid detergent
dispensing system" and "Liquid
detergent dispensing - Dosage level".
