5.1 Working with the Save Function
Your MkroScan 7600PRO was shpped wth a Compact Flash Card whch s capable of
storng mages and mage data obtaned from the 7600PRO. A Compact Flash Adapter
was also suppled to provde transfer of mages through a PCMCIA card slot n your
laptop computer or through a Card Reader attached to your personal computer.
Ths secton provdes nformaton on usng the memory card wth the MkroScan
7600PRO.
5.1.1 Saving Image Data as .SIT Files
Lve and frozen mages can be saved to the memory card utlzng
the
.SIt
file extension by pressing the
SAVe
button. When an mage
is being saved to the memory card, an image file is created which
contans the mage and all data assocated wth the mage.
A file name is automatically assigned to the image showing the four-
character file prefix, the image number, and the
.SIt
file type
extension. When an image has been saved, the directory name and
file name appear at the bottom of the display.
To save an image as a .SIT file in either
[Run]
or
[FRz]
mode:
1) Verify that a Mikron approved Compact Flash Memory Card has
been inserted into the camera (See Section 3.4 of this manual for
information on Inserting and Removing the Memory Card).
2) Follow steps 1-6 in Section 3.9.2.2 of this manual for information on
Selecting an Image Save Format.

4) Aim the camera at a specific target of interest.
5) Make any desired adjustments to the temperature range setting or
temperature level and sensitivity. (See Sections 4.4 through 4.10 of
this manual for more information on these settings).
NOTE
Images are stored with
a four-digit file name
followed by the file ex-
tension. The file names
are numbered from 0001
to 9999. If the number
exceeds 9999 an error
message will appear
indicating that there is
no more room available
on the memory card.
