11. French Doors, Double Doors and Safe Rooms

Installing The Ultimate Lock

®

in non-standard configurations requires special instructions. The Ulti-

mate Lock

®

can secure French Doors and Double Doors. Creating a “Safe Room” requires replac-

ing the standard hollow core interior door with a solid core wood, a steel or fiber glass  door to cre-
ate a secured environment.

Please call customer service for installation tips.

12. Outward-Opening Doors

THE ULTIMATE LOCK IS DESIGNED FOR IN-WARD

SWINGING DOORS ONLY.

IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR

OUTWARD SWINGING APPLICATIONS.

10. Operations

The Ultimate  Lock

®

utilizes  a deadbolt  and  security  bar  that  work  in  unison—a mortise deadbolt

and  a  rim  deadbolt.  The  secondary  rim  deadbolt  protrudes  slightly  across  the  door  frame  and
makes it very easy to verify that your door is locked. To lock your door, simply turn the twist knob
counterclockwise 90° until it is horizontal.  The horizontal position of the twist knob will also tell you
at a glance that the lock is in fact locked. To unlock the door, turn the twist knob clockwise 90° until
it is vertical. For even more security, The Ultimate Lock

®

 features the patented “Lockout” feature

that, when engaged, will prevent ANY key from opening the door. To engage the lockout feature,
lock the door and then simply press the button in until it latches in place. You are now ultimately
protected from intrusion!
