Ditch for penetrated ink and platen boards
Printing on a coarse-textured fablic may cause ink to penetrate the fablic.
If the fabric runs out in this condition, it may be stained by the ink on the platen.
The ditch for penetrated ink is provided to avoid this trouble.
•
For printing to a fabric without ink penetration, attach the platen
boards so that the ditch for penetrated ink be covered by them.
•
Set the projection on the back of the platen board to the projection at
the edge of the ditch for penetrated ink.
•
The width of the ditch for penetrated ink can be changed in three
steps depending on the way of attachment.
Pattern1
Amount of penetrated ink (Small)

Pattern3

•
For attachment of the platen boards, refer to page 1.51.
•
If the platen board is not used, remove all the platen boards from the
platen.
If you place a platen board outside the fabric pressers, not the
position of the fabric pressers but the position of the platen board is
detected at the time of fabric detection.
