Precautions in handling the fabric
Carefully observe the following when handling the fabric.
•
Pre-processing of fabric
Use pre-processed fabrics recommended by MIMAKI.
Fabrics with MIMAKI recommended pre-treatment.

Fabric thickness
When setting the fabric used, be sure to adjust the head height. Other wise, the fabric and/
or the head can be damaged.
•
Expansion and contraction of the fabric
Do not use ink-adhered fabric with high elasticity.
Do not use fabrics with high elasticity.
Use of such a fabrics may cause contact with the print head nozzle, displaced printing, or
other trouble.
•
Curled fabric
Do not use fabric with curled edges.
Use of such a fabric may cause contact with the print head nozzle, resulting in inferior ink
discharge.
•
Other precautions
Do not use fabrics with extremely coarse fixture.
The plotter may not detect the fabric properly.
