Tx400 Daily Care

With a view to using this machine in a better condition, please be sure to the following daily care 

after at the end of the

daily work

. Please refer to “Daily care manual” for the detail.

Maintenance of the head nozzle surface

1. Perform [HEAD MAINT.], move the carriage to the 

maintenance position and open the maintenance cover L.

(1) Press the 

 key in LOCAL.

(2) Press 

 to select [Nozzle Clean2].

(3) Press the 

 key.

(4) Open the maintenance cover L.

2. Soak the clean stick or the waste cloth in the maintenance cleaning solution and wipe off

an  accumulated ink on the side of the head and on the bottom surface of the slider.

3. After cleaning is completed, close the maintenance cover L 

and press  

.

4. Open the maintenance cover R.

• Never rub the nozzles.

5. Clean the wiper.

Wipe off the ink sticking to the wiper with a clean stick dipped in cleaning solution for maintenance.

6. Clean the wiper cleaner.

Wipe off the ink sticking to the wiper cleaner with a clean stick dipped in cleaning solution for maintenance.

7. Wash the sponge under the wiper.

(1) Remove the sponge in the wiper frame and wash it with water.
(2) Dry the sponge and put it into the wiper frame again.

8. Press  

.

9. Clean the cap rubber.

Wipe off the ink sticking to the cap rubber with a clean stick dipped in cleaning solution for maintenance.

10. Remove hardened ink etc. remaining in the cap with a pair of tweezers.

• Be careful so that you may not get injured with the edge of the wiper cleaner.

• If the sponge is misaligned or floats, return it to the original position. Leaving it with being 

misaligned may damage the nozzle surface.
